Join our Group on this voyage!  There may still be a way to get at least one solo insider cabin.  Contact me ASAP if you would like to join.  While originally setup as a cruise for solos with no cabin sharing, COUPLES and more are also welcome to book in our group for additional group sailor loot.

Group Sailor Loot per Cabin:  $50 for insider/sea view cabins; $100 for sea terraces; $200 for suites.  (This is subject to maintaining the minimum number of cabins which has already been met for this voyage.)

Virgin Voyages has the most engaging program for solo travelers for a number of reasons, including:

  • Solo-friendly cabins: Solo Insider, Solo Sea View, Sea Terrace, or Suite.  Cabins are modern and stylish. Most Sea Terraces and Suites are equipped with exactly one hammock.

  • The HAPPENINGS CAST: These 12 "cruise directors" hosting various social events and activities.  Get to know them to have the best time onboard.

  • Solo-friendly activities: Virgin Voyages offers a variety of activities that are perfect for solo travelers to join a team or meet other sailors.  Look for the Grog Walk, trivia competitions, board games, yoga classes, cooking classes, karaoke, and a FREE video game arcade. Leave your quarters at home.  Participants and winners at many events score a free drink.

  • Solo-friendly pricing: Virgin Voyages at times offers solo sailor deals.  Connect with me if you want to be notified when a solo sailor deal is going on or want to join a hosted sailing.

  • At Gunbae (Korean Barbecue) parties are combined to make 6 (or in some cases 10) people at a grill/table.

Virgin Voyages is also known for its edgy and stylish atmosphere, which appeals to many solo travelers. The ships are designed to be social and interactive, and there are plenty of opportunities to meet new people (not just other solos) and make friends.

My experience the first of several Virgin Voyages...

Seven of us solo friends booked a transatlantic cruise on Valiant Lady October 2022.  Because of a solo sailor deal, I decided to book the next 6-night cruise back-to-back, while the other six solos needed to return home after the transatlantic.  We had a great time on the transatlantic, but I had an even better time on the next cruise as a solo traveler.  That next voyage included Halloween and the MerMaiden Voyage of Valiant Lady from Miami. See the banana costume and a merman tail photos floating around here.  Sailing solo on the second cruise allowed me to prioritize the classes and events I most wanted to attend (as opposed to attending EVERY single trivia event that my friends wanted to do on the previous cruise).  After that, two of my next four cruises were as a solo traveler.  Every cruise on Virgin Voyages is memorable because of the other people I meet onboard.
